Junior Legal Counsel Biomedica Group

This role will be based at Biomedica SE & Black Sea OOD (Biomedica SE & BS) in Sofia, Bulgaria part of Biomedica Group.

Reporting to the General Manager at Biomedica SE & BS, with a dotted reporting line to the Vice President Legal, the Junior Legal Counsel will support the legal function across multiple Biomedica Group locations. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career lawyer to gain broad exposure to commercial, corporate, compliance, and regulatory matters within an international pharmaceutical company.

The successful candidate will work closely with business teams, senior legal colleagues, and external counsels, providing legal and administrative support while developing practical in-house legal experience.

What you'll do:

• Support the Legal Department in providing day-to-day legal assistance to business functions across the Group.
• Assist with the preparation, review, and administration of contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research on commercial, corporate, employment, compliance, and regulatory matters.
• Help maintain and organize the Company's contract database and legal documentation.
• Assist in the development and updating of contract templates, policies, and internal procedures.
• Support compliance initiatives and monitor legal and regulatory developments relevant to the business.
• Assist with corporate governance matters across Group entities.
• Coordinate with external legal advisers and support the management of external legal documentation.
• Collaborate with internal departments including Sales, Finance, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Compliance, IT, Medical, Regulatory, Safety, and Human Resources on routine legal matters.
• Support legal projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.
• Perform other legal and administrative tasks under the guidance of senior legal colleagues.

What you'll bring:

• A passion for great content and a drive to create the best legal experience within all locations at Biomedica Group.
• Law degree from an accredited university.
• 1–3 years of relevant legal experience gained in a law firm, in-house legal department, or through internships and traineeships.
• Interest in commercial contracts, corporate law, compliance, and the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.
• Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Pro.
• Fluent English and native-level Bulgarian are required.
